The newly completed west wall holds the spectacular triple-moon installation. Known to some as the Triple Goddess symbol the )O( icon represents the three faces of the Goddess to modern Goddess devotees. While tripartite Goddess are known from antiquity, indeed Amphitriti herself has been identified as part of one, this modern symbol is said to represent the maiden, the matron and the crone. In essence that school of thought says that at all ages and stages of life, no matter the procreative status of the female body, the sacred can be found within.
The triple moon icon was recently adopted as a logo by the House of Theia, one of the community groups who use the temple on a regular basis. |
